How to choose a builder
When choosing a builder, most people will choose just on price. In fact research shows that 62% will choose on price alone.
However, when you are having a BBQ 5 years after completion of your home, there will be so many other things you talk about like quality, process and how you felt throughout the process of building your home.
We think there are 3 very important factors to consider when choosing a builder:
- Transparency – how open is the builder with the processes they have and how open they will be with you throughout the build.
- Communication – how will the keep you updated and informed during the pre-construction including the approval process and construction phases of your home.
- Flexibility – this is a big investment and you should be able to have input to the design, but also how you wish to be updated throughout the building of your home.
